The AddSeat Pioneer celebrates 10 years of development of the original AddSeat by Marit Sundin. It has a fixed height seat that has two options at purchase. The glide mechanism is included. Plus for an extra cost, you can order your favourite colour to personalise your AddSeat - add a Segway and you're mobile!

Why is AddSeat right for you?
AddSeat is something quite special. The Swedish innovation, AddSeat, has been developed continuously over several years by constantly responding to our customer's feedback.
AddSeat is based on the market's best Segway PT Gyro (the i2/i2SE or the x2/x2SE), famous for its groundbreaking driving control. Being able to turn around your own axis makes going into tight areas such as lifts so much easier. Driving on snow, sand and in the forest is something that is not only possible but a pure delight.
With a unique spring-dampening function, the AddSeat has a significantly faster braking distance compared to many other gyro-based wheelchairs. The seat can be pushed backwards so the weight distribution of the user's body comes behind the gyro, which enables faster braking.

The height adjustable seat is one of the more prominent features that provide a bunch of benefits. The adjustable seat makes it possible to sit between 60-75 cm above the ground, where the highest position enables the user to sit in a comfortable conversation height.
The height adjustable seat also makes it possible to find the perfect angle for knees versus lower back, which contributes to a better posture and circulation. The airride, which is built into the height adjustable seat, also works as a shock absorber making obstacles such as kerbs and uneven ground less tiring. The seat is designed for maximum comfort allowing many to use it all day.
The AddSeat has a manual parking solution with four feet touching the ground. This robust parking gear enables the user to make a safe transfer over to the AddSeat. The steering is removable with a click function, which disconnects it from the bottom part of the Segway and is available in two versions, a straight and a curved steering and both versions have an adjustable stem. There are two options for the backrest, flat back or a curved back, where the curved back can be adjusted when manufactured.
The AddSeat can be purchased without a Segway allowing you to fit it to a previously owned unit or buy a second hand model reducing the cost of purchase.
